Announcing New IMPRES™ Fleet Management System

Motorola’s state-of-the-art IMPRES technology takes the guesswork out of radio battery management by providing communication between the battery and its charger. Now, Motorola has taken IMPRES technology a step further with software that automatically and remotely collects the data that administrators want from their entire IMPRES battery and charger fleet and quickly compiles it into useful reports. Effective battery fleet management can improve communications reliability and reduce costs and this System helps automate the process.

With information such as battery age, capacity and charge/recondition history, administrators can easily and efficiently determine appropriate actions, such as when it is time to remove poorly performing batteries from the fleet and purchase new ones or redeploy batteries to less demanding users in the organisation.

System consists of three major components: the application software, a software license key and the Charger Interface Unit (CIU). The recently introduced battery data reader is also compatible with the System.
